Certification renewal is required every two years from the date of certification. To continue to be certified, you must remain an active IACCM paid member and have completed the equivalent of 40 hours of continuing professional development (CPD) over the prior two year period. This can be achieved through a variety of activities, primary examples being:

Qualifying programs from IACCM (e.g. IACCM conferences, IACCM member meetings, Ask the Expert sessions or webinars (only those events attended live will be added automatically)). Contributions to the professional community such as research conducted, articles written, training programs developed or professional mentoring. Relevant training or events that have direct value to personal development and the field of contract and commercial management from other respected organisations. 

CPD is a self-managed process. IACCM offers a tracking tool for your CPD recording under your IACCM membership account, which can be found at My IACCM > My Account > Training & Certification (see right hand side Menu) > Manage CPD (or by clicking here). The certified member needs to maintain a sufficient record of continuing education activities and associated credits/hours, which are periodically verified by IACCM.

CPD points are usually manually registered by members via their accounts. Please add 1 CPD point per each hour of lecture/instruction/seminar or webinar you have undertaken, excluding networking time at physical events (this applies to IACCM and independent events). If you have a certificate this can be used in addition to corroborate your CPD claim.  In the case of IACCM events, if you register for these via the IACCM website, your points will automatically be allocated to your account and can be found immediately after the event.

Once you gained 40 points you can renew your certification up to 6 months before the expiry date, and it will extend for 2 years from the expiry date.

In the event your certification has lapsed for more than a two-year period, please contact us at training@iaccm.com for consideration to reactivate your certification. This requires a statement from you regarding your continued activities in Contract and Commercial Management during the lapse along with your general compliance and confirmation that going forward you will adhere to IACCM’s requirements for certification renewal.
